See attached for a paper I presented recently at the 2015 annual meeting of the Southeastern Archaeological Conference in Nashville. The research presented here is an outgrowth of my larger dissertation research, and provides some interesting evidence on the inadequacy of shovel testing on a cruciform pattern for archaeological site delineation at the level of Phase I cultural resource survey, which is common practice in Mississippi. Comments are more than welcome!
